First day in WISRD

Statement of interest from WISRD application: For my community involvement in 11th grade, I chose to work with WISRD because I had always been interested in the institute. Upon gaining firsthand experience from my CI, I discovered how much I enjoyed WISRD's hands-on style of learning, and the idea of being able to pioneer my own education seemed like a dream come true. If there is one thing I want to get out of this experience, it would be the ability to use what I have learned in previous years to create something that serves as a culmination to my education at Wildwood.

8.24 - 8.28

I began to research the necessary components of my project, alongside filling out various forms and templates that I was assigned by Megan. I looked into the difference between the Emotiv head-cap that WISRD has, and the newer Emotiv head-cap for sale, and determined that the one we have in WISRD is suitable for what I want to do. I finally settled on my project, which has to do with sleep cycles and how different phenomena affect how we sleep and how much rest we get. I also began research on how to use the emotiv, as well as started brainstorming ideas for independent variables to test in the future.
