Today I helped Oli and Joe with the photos for the microscope photos for the poster for WILD lab. I also spent some time updating my journal.

Today I gathered some unfiltered water from the saltwater tank and gave it to Christine for science night. My most recent 3d print failed because I forgot to apply glue to the baseplate. So I am reprinting with glue this time.

Today I got back my first prototype of the frame for the screen, It did not fit so I am designing a new one.

Today I was going to add a light light sensor to the prototype but as I was trying to add it, it broke the code so I am going to postpone that for now.

Today me and charlie got the ai glasses working, we also started to get access to open ai to add it to the glasses.

The Screen that Ive been working on stopped working so we ordered a new one. I also redesigned the housing for a third time.

Today I helped oli start to clean out the saltwater tank.

Today I redesigned the 3d print as the last one was pretty good but it needed some adjustments I also added holders on the sides for nuts that I could glue in so I can add another peice on top later.

Today I continued my new project by designing a case that will go around the screen on tinkercad, as well as sending it to the 3d printer.

Today I started designing a new project for the fish tanks. I want to have a display that shows a bunch of live data such as temperature ,PH, and salinity.

Today I fixed the camera for the fishtanks and helped oli remove some assassin snails from the freshwater tanks.

Today me and charlie disected a fish in order to prepare a specimen that would could use to look at under the microscope during poster night. We also prepared other samples such as other fish and snails.

Today I practiced my presentation for poster night and added more in formation to the poster. I also re tapped and adjusted the camera on the fish tank.

Today I upgraded the graphics card in my computer so that it would be ready to run during poster session on Friday. I also added more information to my poster.

Today I had to redesign the lid as the measurements were incorrect. I also started a new section on my page for weekly updates on the water bears.

Today Charlie and I setup the new bambu h2d 3d printer. We did not finish as a part is missing and we need to order it.

Today I separated some of the water bears into a separate dish to look at them under the microscope and see if there was a significant increase in the amount of water bears (There wasn’t).

Today the glass container for the water bears arrived so I spent the block prepping the container for them by adding water, algae, and making sure that the temperature and PH were hospitable for them.

Today the water bears arrived and I began my next project of creating a sustainable habitat for them so that they can reproduce and at the end of every 2 weeks I can release a batch into the fresh water tank to help reduce the amount of algae.

Today in WISRD I worked on a few different things. I started class by checking on my livestream setup and fixing it after someone touched some of the settings. I also started to test Anne Marie’s incubator to see what I need to fix.

Today I did research on the missing parts for the computer for the livestream. I also did some research on how to breed water bears which I will start next week.

Today I realized that the hard drive i was trying to format for the pc is unusable and I decided to order a new one. I also started to build a new grow station.

Today I did some more research on the pyrolysis reactor getting a sense of what materials I need and seeing what WISRD has of what I need.

Today I did more work on the raspberry pi livestream and figured out that I have to get a more powerful computer to be able to support what Im trying to do. I then started researching my next project after the livestream, the Pyrolyzer.

Today the water pump for the self sustaining tank was broken so me and Oli worked together to fix it. I took out the pump and cleaned and fixed it while he cleaned out the tank. We then took the mineral tests and found out the the PH is extra high today so were to monitor the tank and see if any changes happen.

Today me and Oli water tested the self sustaining tank. I also helped to clean the freshwater tank and I started researching the octopus project.
