About me
I’m currently 15 years old, in 10th grade, and my favorite subjects are math and science. My favorite animal is a whale shark because of how they look and how they’re just gentle giants. My favorite branch of science is engineering, and I intend to pursue it in college in the future. I want to focus on medical science so I can help create inventions to help people without having to be in the direct line of work.

We didn’t have a lot of WISRD classes this week, so I didn’t progress too much. I keep procrastinating asking Guy for the hand tracking I originally asked him for. I’ll need to ask him next week.

I worked on my Inquirer, and I bonded more with my WISRD mates. I think I can officially say I’ve become friends with everybody in our class. Albeit it actually hasn’t been too easy in my opinion; everyone has such different views and hobbies. It’s truly fascinating to learn so much about other people, but it makes it difficult at times to balance the things I like and the things other people like. Everyone shares a passion for science in our class, but I feel like everyone focuses on different branches of science so it’s sometimes hard to connect there aswell.

This week I worked on making a circular frame for a side project for a particle accelerator to see if a related concept for the linac could produce a similar result to the LINAC accelerator.

I did a lot more practicing on Python, but I somewhat feel like it will take me far too long to fully be able to actually be able to use Python in an effective manner. I also convinced Guy to allow me to use his hand-tracking system.

This week I helped Mauricio with his plants and also studied a bit for my hand-tracking project. I ordered (technically Magnus) clear tubes for the particle accelerator to replace the current non-transparent tube for the particle accelerator.
8.20 First week of WISRD!
I did some research on what we could do with the particle accelerator and tried to make some fixes, but I haven’t 100% been able to fix one of the problems with the rotor.
