First day in WISRD!

My first day at WISRD was nice and very shocking, but in a good way. I found interests I never thought I’d like, and, most importantly, I finally think I can be more creative and freer to do what I truly want to do. Megan seems great; my class feels great, can’t wait to see what will happen next in my WISRD journey.

I learned how to make the gum from scratch; it seemed pretty hard. Making it from scratch is crazy because you’d have to go to a tree with sap inside, then melt it down, then let it rest, then add your sugars, then flavorings, then shape, then package it. For me, I’ll be melting down raw chicle, then letting it settle until I add my powdered xylitol and red cabbage, then flavoring (tbd), then shaping it up. On paper, this all seems hard, but I feel like I can do it easily; hopefully this much is true.
