First day in WISRD!

Walking into WISRD gave me a feeling of both freedom and excitement to learn what I wanted to without many restrictions and amazing amounts of materials. I have always wanted to pursue aerospace engineering, and now that I am here, I can.

Statement of interest from WISRD application: I have always loved to read about and experiment with space/spacial technology, and building functional engines, machines, etc. Out of recycled materials or things like boxes I would have thrown away. I even built a functional animatronic suit with full joints and hands. But my main focus especially here in WISRD, is to pursue my passion, which i’ve found out is best to do here.

08/21 - 22

I built two communicators today, with working text and keyboards. It works by transmitting a signal from 1 to the other, but it only works with one other one. you cant use more than that.

08/24 - 28

I helped Magnus out with his project and finished up my first proposal, My plan is to build a water capsule project that can go deep into the water, so that we can see what is in the depths of the ocean with a better view. My capsule would explore deeper parts of the ocean, and its camera would record/take photos of deep oceanic biomes, creatures, and habitats. It will be very small, and have a powerful micro-camera, and be powerful enough to make at least one round trip down 400 feet. I looked for print models, made print models, found engines, motors, propellers, cameras, and more.

08/31 - 09/04

I have been researching companies I can take inspiration from for my project,
